He took over from Ambassador Sohail Mahmood upon completion of his term.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Moin ul Haque brings with him vast experience of diplomacy and high-level decision-making. He served in the Foreign Service of Pakistan for nearly 35 years on key assignments both at Headquarters and Missions abroad.<\/p>\n<p>His last assignment was Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to China (2020-2023). Prior to that, he also served as Ambassador to France (2016-2020) and Consul General in Vancouver (2007-2010). He has also served as Additional Secretary (Administration), Chief of Protocol, Director-General (Europe) and Director (Foreign Secretary\u2019s Office).<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in his diplomatic career, he served in Pakistan Embassies in Brussels, Colombo, Ankara and also as a Counsellor at Pakistan\u2019s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad : Ambassador Moin ul Haque has assumed charge as Director-General of the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI).
