Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba, Ambassador of Ethiopia, and the Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, H.E. Rana Tanveer Hussain.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting explored various avenues for increasing agricultural cooperation, including an agro-pact to institutionalize collaboration and enable the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two countries&#8217; agricultural institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The Ambassador highlighted the potential of agricultural cooperation between Ethiopia and Pakistan, detailing the agrarian character of Ethiopia&#8217;s economy and the priority attached to the sector by the Government of Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"hPAuBwch6R\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/prime-ministers-of-ethiopia-and-pakistan-reaffirm-strong-bilateral-ties\/\">Prime Ministers of Ethiopia and Pakistan Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Ties<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Prime Ministers of Ethiopia and Pakistan Reaffirm Strong Bilateral Ties&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/prime-ministers-of-ethiopia-and-pakistan-reaffirm-strong-bilateral-ties\/embed\/#?secret=eXMmL8ay0n#?secret=hPAuBwch6R\" data-secret=\"hPAuBwch6R\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>He presented Ethiopia&#8217;s Green Legacy Initiative as a holistic programme to promote sustainable development through agricultural growth, food security, climate resilience and a green economy.<\/p>\n<p>Ethiopia can share its expertise in the Green Legacy Initiative with Pakistan, he said, while inviting Pakistani agricultural entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Ethiopia&#8217;s agricultural sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Ambassador also briefed the Federal Minister on Ethiopia&#8217;s preparations to host COP32, which will take place in Addis Ababa in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Minister highlighted Pakistan&#8217;s expertise in agricultural research, modern farming technologies, agricultural machinery, irrigation, livestock development and agro-processing, and expressed Pakistan&#8217;s readiness to share its experience and technical know-how with Ethiopia.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the two countries could significantly expand cooperation in crop productivity, seed development, climate-resilient agriculture and mechanization.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"BWBj44Hubl\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-in-the-world-september-2025\/\">Pakistan in the World \u2013 September 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;Pakistan in the World \u2013 September 2025&#8221; &#8212; Pakistan In the World\" src=\"https:\/\/pakistanintheworld.pk\/live\/pakistan-in-the-world-september-2025\/embed\/#?secret=3GCHVptG3y#?secret=BWBj44Hubl\" data-secret=\"BWBj44Hubl\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD : The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Wednesday agreed to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation in the agriculture sector to enhance trade and investment and promote technology transfer, food security and livestock development.
