This was followed by delegation-level talks between the Interior Ministers of Pakistan and Malaysia.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, prevention of illegal immigration and cybercrime. Cooperation in the areas of coast guards and training programmes was also discussed.<br \/>\n\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The two Interior Ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations and decided to establish a Joint Working Group between the two Ministries of Interior to promote institutional cooperation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u200eIt was also agreed that a high-level Pakistani delegation would soon visit Malaysia to further advance bilateral ties.<br \/>\n\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">During the meeting, Pakistan and Malaysia agreed to enhance intelligence sharing to counter terrorists and drug traffickers. The two sides also agreed to develop a more effective joint strategy against terrorism, narcotics trafficking and human trafficking.<br \/>\n\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The meeting also included an agreement to enhance cooperation between the National Police Academy of Pakistan and the Royal Malaysia Police College.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">The two sides discussed promoting tourism between Pakistan and Malaysia and facilitating visa procedures.<br \/>\n\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Speaking on the occasion, Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan also wanted to benefit from Malaysia\u2019s experience in the Coast Guard sector.<br \/>\n\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">Mohsin Naqvi expressed hope that the Malaysian Interior Minister\u2019s visit would prove to be an important milestone in taking relations between the two countries to the next level.<br \/>\n\u200e<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: left;\">He said Malaysia was one of the fastest-developing Muslim countries and an excellent tourism destination for Pakistanis.
