In this regard, UNFPA has been actively supporting the government departments and the NDMA, with a specific focus on vulnerable segments of the society such as women, children and people living with disabilities.\u201d\u00a0<b>Aisha Mukhtar<\/b>, Country Representative a.i., UN Women Pakistan highlighted, \u201cVulnerable populations experience the COVID-19 outbreak differently, which is likely to reinforce their marginalized position in society. Their experience of discrimination, violence and stigma further limits their access to essential support and services and increases their risk of experiencing violence. Our collective efforts will ensure that no-one is left behind in the response to COVID-19.\u201d<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_7547923490614407981Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_7547923490614407981Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The webinar brought together a diverse mix of eminent speakers and stakeholders, including legal policy, human rights, gender and empowerment experts.\u00a0<b>Barrister Benazir Jatoi<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<b>Gender Expert Nazish Brohi<\/b>\u00a0highlighted the trends in the reporting of GBV crimes influenced by the societal power structures, traditional mindsets and challenges of pre-trial reporting on violence against women to seek justice from the criminal justice institutions.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_7547923490614407981Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"m_7547923490614407981Body\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Senior leadership from provincial police departments included\u00a0<b>Abdul Khalique Shaikh<\/b>, Additional Inspector General of Police, Sindh;\u00a0<b>Muhammad Ali Babakhel<\/b>, Deputy Inspector General of Police;\u00a0<b>Tariq Abbas Qureshi<\/b>, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Punjab;\u00a0<b>Dr. Farhan Zahid<\/b>, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Balochistan.
