\"\"Moscow\/ Ashgabat; 18 Jan 2021 – The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF, Russia\u2019s sovereign wealth fund) announces the registration of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.<\/h3>\n

The vaccine was approved under the emergency use authorization procedure without additional clinical trials in Turkmenistan.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0Sputnik V had been registered earlier under the emergency use procedure in Algeria, Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Palestine, Venezuela and Paraguay.<\/h3>\n

Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund,\u00a0<\/strong>said:<\/h3>\n

\u201cTurkmenistan became the first country in Central Asia to officially approve the use of the Sputnik V vaccine. Vaccination of the population with the proven Sputnik V vaccine created on a well-researched human adenoviral vectors platform is one of the key elements in preventing the spread of coronavirus\u201d.<\/h3>\n
