Zangilan, January 27, 2026 – The Europe Today: A total of 20 families, comprising 103 individuals, were resettled in the village of Mammadbayli in Azerbaijan’s Zangilan district, where they received the keys to their newly built homes, officials said.The key handover ceremony was attended by representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in the city of Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, as well as officials from the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and other relevant institutions.
The resettlement forms part of ongoing efforts to restore liberated territories and ensure the voluntary, safe and dignified return of former internally displaced persons to their ancestral lands. Authorities said infrastructure and social services in the area continue to be developed to support sustainable living conditions for returning residents.
