Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori is rightly called the Governor of the Opposition by the Treasury people because he is always pointing out the ground realities and warning the authorities to do the rightful and needful before it is too late.In a meeting with Editors from all over Pakistan, The Governor has said that 90 % youth is desperate to leave the country because they find no future in Pakistan.
The public is fed up of Game Changer trumpets of the federal officials like previously CPEC Game Changer and now SIFC Game Changer. Government and Poor are equal in this country. He said some families became Billionaire in the meanwhile but no Game could be Changed for the common Pakistani.
Government is begging and the poor is also asking for help to live. What is the difference? The country has everything but the rulers are seeking one two three billion dollars. We do not know where we are going and where should we move forward to.
Pakistanis are divided. Country can not develop this way. Right person for right job is no where. Generalized trained bureaucrats are holding leading positions at specialized tasks. Central Superior Services (CSS)are the biggest fraud.
The people who were to be punished became rulers while those who were about to fix them are now in jails. Neither the people who govern the country are good nor those are any better who let them govern the country.
What are we doing by the way?

Governor said this in his meeting with the delegation of Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) at Governor House on 30 May 2024 in Karachi.
Governor said , the population of Karachi is approximately 30 million but no free hospital is here. When we do something for the public, we face objections and hurdles for “Why you are doing this? It is not your job.”
Governor of Opposition
Kamran Tessori is called Governor of Opposition. That because he speaks the language of the public and in the public he expresses the sentiments of the downtrodden who are living in this country as if they do not have any relevance or importance for the governments, let alone the state for its sanctity and sensitive status.
He said ” I will be good and acceptable if I do nothing. I just play Golf from 4 to 6. If I smoke Cigar and chill in the luxurious Governor House. In the evening, be chief guest at some national day event or at the convocations of universities. If I keep myself to signing the ordnances only. I am very good governor.”
” But I don’t want to be like that. I want to do something for the public. And I am not using government funds neither government is allocating any resources for what I am doing for our youth and the poor. I just encouraged the philanthropists and they contributed a lot that helped me bring some change in the lives of the poor and down trodden of the society, Governor said.

Divided not United
” We are divided nation at every level. A Turkish in the world will call himself a Turkish and a Chinese as Chinese in the World where ever he/she is living but when you ask a Pakistani , “From where you are? he/she will share “From Saanghard, From Sukkhar”. Now the other person is confused ” What is Saanghard, Sukkhar? Governor said on a lighter note.
Mr. Tessori said that division is every where.
You are Punjabi, Sindhi, Pukhtoon, Baloch, Shia, Sunni, Brelvi. Then you are divided in political parties. Political interests are bigger than the country. Then how the betterment will come and who will bring? A leader can do this but who is that leader who wants to do this? If Shehbaz Sharif can do this , he should do, if Asif Zardari can do this, he should come forward. Any leader …… just start it……. we have wasted a lot of time.
CSS biggest Fraud?
Governor blew the minds by saying that the System of Bureaucracy is highly responsible for deterioration in the country but, he said interestingly that the bureaucrat is not to blame for that. He further elaborated that a bureaucrat is not let work continuously and consistently at one place. He/She is transferred again and again. Years pass in the same process and then He/She becomes a secretary , the top official. He/She is posted in some specialized department with particular technical sector but has no experience in that field. He/She is just generally trained for administration only. It means Pakistan never had and will never have right person for right job.
Pakistani Students in Kyrgyzstan
On Governor Sindh said that both sides (Pakistan & Kyrgyzstan) mishandled the matter of students in Bishkek attacks. The students were afraid of living there. The authorities failed to satisfy them and feel them secure there.
He said this replying to the questions of this scribe who met Governor in Karachi at Governor House along with the members of Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) on 30 May 2024. This scribe is member standing committee of CPNE.
Here it is worth mentioning that two flights of Pakistani students from Bishkek landed at Karachi airport where Governor Kamran and CM Murad Ali Shah received them. Total number of Pakistani students who returned to Karachi after the attacks of local mobs on 18 May is 385.
Editor Tazeen Akhtar asked the Governor : 1- How did you find the students? What was their condition? They had to leave their studies and spend more money from their parents pockets. 2- They will be compensated or not? 3- What is the possibility now that their year is not wasted. If they have to take another year there, it will cost more to their parents and most of them can not afford it.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori lamented that the authorities mishandled the matter and the student were frightened naturally. Their parents were intensely worried for the safety of their children. That is why they were not ready to let there children there and similarly the students were not feeling safe in Bishkek.
Governor said that some personality of good repute should have been sent to Bishkek who could convince the students that the situation will soon be controlled and you need not leave Kyrgyzstan.
Energy from Iran / Instructions from USA
Governor said that he has visited Iran two times and has seen everything is available there in abundance that we need badly. We need badly cheap petrol, fuel gas and electricity that Iran is ready to export but Pakistan seeks permission from USA while USA gives us no other option or solution to what we need badly. Then what Pakistan should do? Certainly Pakistan should takes its own decision according the state of affairs here. We need to develop trade relations with Iran.
China Pakistan
Governor suggests to convince China to install industry in Pakistan. CPEC is no doubt a very well planned and operated project from Chinese side. China Pakistan complement each other in this project and the second phase of CPEC is hoped to bring better results.
Youth of Pakistan/ Desperate to Leave
As Governor said that 90 % youth is desperate to leave the country for better future. He shared his contributions to make the youth stand on their own feet with skills in IT sector. The Governor briefed the editors about opening the Governor House for youth especially for their training and the editors visited the training center with Governor and saw everything with their own eyes. This project has been extended to 6 districts of Sindh.
Governor’s staff examined 500 thousand youth for IT training program free of cost at Governor House. 50 thousand passed the examination who are now , not only doing the course but many of them have started earning income from their work. The rest 450 thousand youth are participating in the course online. Three classes are held everyday for which a big canopy has been set up in the spacious plot of the Governor House.
The deserving youth working on IT can get Lap Tops I5 and I7 that are the latest.
Here Editor Tazeen Akhtar, giving his feedback on this sector, said that Japan needs more than 700 thousand IT workers, half trained as well as fully trained both. Governor House can work on this and secure maximum jobs for IT trained youth of Sindh.
Governor House Turned into University
Here it will be worth interest for the readers that Governor House Sindh is the only Governor House in the country whose walls have been demolished and turned into an education institute as mentioned above. Actually it was the slogan raised by Imran Khan but he failed even in his own stronghold KPK to turn the Governor House into a University.
PEC like HEC
Governor is big advocate of setting up of Primary Education Commission like we have Higher Education Commission. He emphsizes on the vocational training of the children with traditional education. He said 2.4 Million youth is passed out from the universities of Pakistan every year. The government can not give them jobs. Vocational training is the only solution. 27 big multi nationals have eliminated degree requirement and they prefer expertise in specific sectors.
Bell of Hope
Anyone can visit the Governor and ring the Bell of Hope that is installed at the main entrance of the House. It is in the line of Emperor Jehangir who is famous for Adl e Jehangiri (Justice of Jehangir). Jehangir had installed a chain outside the palace that was pulled by the public and their grievances were heard and the justice was provided. Here at Governor House too, anyone can ring the Bell of Hope and he/she will be heard either by the Governor himself or especially directed staff. Main point to note is , no one can say that he/she has not been heard at Governor House.
Rashan (Food)for Deserving
This is the age of inflation in Pakistan. Not only the poor but middle class as well, can not make both ends meet. Utility bills and rent of house take away not only all their income but actually they had to borrow to meet these expenses. Then where they will buy food for family?
Governor House is playing its positive role here also. More than 550 thousand people are receiving Rashan. Here another notable step is , 35 thousand families get the Rashan via courier only to save their honor. The worth of the Rashan distributed so far is 1.25 Billion PKR.
Employment Scheme
Governor House is giving Loans without any markup (Qarz e Hasana ). It is from One Lakh to One Karor PKR. The officials analyze the program given by the candidate of the loans. If they are satisfied and see potential in the program or project, they approve the loan.
Bike for Work
Governor House is giving free reconditioned bikes to the deserving whose bike has been lifted or snatched. Most of the people can do and can go on work only because they have bikes. One can take FIR of bike lifting to Governor House and get another bike. 600 bikes have been distributed so far. Philanthropists and Governor House itself are contributing the funds for this scheme.
More and More
Governor house is giving 80 square yards plots to who have no place to live. The poor are being sent on Umra. Many other works are going on where ever the governor house can play its supportive role. New ideas are also welcome and implemented.
Two Persons Doing Great
Two names we heard from the Governor who are contributing in the welfare projects initiated by Mr. Kamran. They are Ali Shaikhani and Tanveer Ahmad. Later is the same who donated 9 Million Dollars to National University of Science and Technology NUST. Here it is astonishing in a sense that NUST is a project of high profile and powerful quarters, NUST is charging the students heavy fee as well. Then why donation for NUST? We have no objection as it is up to whose money is this and he can give to who ever he wants.
How it was all Managed
Through the philanthropy only. Pakistanis and especially Karachi Walas are known for their philanthropy and welfare work in the world. Governor house engaged the Industrialists and honored them at the house. In Pakistan governments are always emphasizing the business community for contributions but the ministers do not leave the first seats for them. Governor house not only honored them but conferred civil awards on them as well. It was very encouraging for the community to return something to humanity.
Corruption Free System
Governor house does not receive cash from the philanthropists. They are invited to come and spend their donation themselves in any project. No official can ask cash from anyone. This is the way if we have the determination to do some good for the poor. Mr. Kamran Tessori deserves appreciation for that rather objections hurled ” This is not the job of the Governor.”
Turning Point of Kamran Tessori
Kamran Tessori was a free person to do whatever he wanted to without no responsibility and no task no aim in his life before he was picked up for the slot. Governorship may be the dream for many but for Kamran , it was a turning point. He was nominated as Governor by MQM in the People’s Party’s stronghold of Sindh province. It will not be justice to Kamran if we do not appreciate him for he changed himself altogether as soon as he entered into the Governor House.
Kamran prayed to Allah to make him able to do something for the depressed and oppressed people of his country. He has done a lot so far in his 3 years stint so far. His opponents raise objections on his actions of public service and philanthropy. They say it is not your cup of tea Mr. Governor. But Kamran does not hear the hear say and keep focus on his efforts to bring some good change in the lives of the people.
Governor Houses in the countries like Pakistan are considered as forbidden places for the general public. More than 1.8 Million people have visited Governor House Sindh so far. Kamran has opened the doors for all.
CONCLUSION
Governor forgot one very important thing in his long discussion with the editors. That is, in Pakistan, it is our national habit that we do not work neither we let the others work here. Governor has made many angry but for sure helped thousands in their distress. Allah is happy with those who help the others. Kamran can be replace with anyone routine governor but the work Kamran has done so far can not be reversed. Whoever will wrap up the social work will see the wrath of Allah.
