Islamabad/ Pakistan; 22 Nov 2021 – The energy crisis in Europe and the use of disinformation against COVID-19 vaccination as well as the situation with migrants on the Polish-Belarus border is a spearhead weapon of the hybrid war waged by Russia. Ukraine is concerned that the situation on border can be exploited by Russia against Ukraine.

The Russian Federation is an influential participant behind the scenes of the crisis
between Poland and Baltic States and Belarus, which threatens the stability of the entire eastern flank of NATO. Without its assistance, the leader of Belarus would not have been able to carry out his plans.

The security situation along the line of contact in Donetsk and Luhansk regions
as well as in a wider Black Sea region is deteriorating.

In the past week it was registered a 162 % increase of ceasefire violations
compared with the previous week. In numbers, it means 571 violations per day on
average. As of the beginning of November, about 90 thousand of the Russian regular troops continue to be stationed along the Ukrainian border and in the temporarily occupied areas.

This includes the 8th and 20th Armies of the Southern and Western military
districts, separate units and squadrons of the 4th and 6th armies of the Russian air and air defense forces as well as the forces of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

After summer large scale drills some units of 41st army of the Central military district still remain in the European part of the Russian Federation – about 260 km from the border with Ukraine and about 4000 km from its home base.
