Warm Welcome for President of Uzbekistan – 9 MoUs and Agreements Signed @ PM House

    President of brotherly country of South Asia, Republic of Uzbekistan, H.H Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived Islamabad today. He is on 2 days visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The warmth between both countries can be seen that Prime Minister himself welcomes the President at Noor Khan Air Base. Later both leaders met at Prime Minister house Islamabad where 9 MoUs and Agreements have been signed. The details :

    1. Pakistan- Uzbekistan Joint Declaration:
    ‘Next Step in the Strategic Partnership’ (The Prime Minister + The President)

    2. Agreement on Cooperation in the field Television and Radio Broadcasting between the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and the Pakistan Television Corporation. (Mr. Fawad Ahmed, Minister Information + Mr. Ozodbek Nazabekov, Minister for Culture)

    3. MoU between Ministry of Tourism & Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for Promotion of Pilgrimage Tourism. (Mr. Noor ul Haq Qadri, Minister for Religious Affairs + Mr. Abdulaziz Kamilov, Minister for Foreign Affairs)

    4. MoU between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Cooperation in the Field of Environment and Climate Change. (Malik Amin Aslam, SAPM on Climate Change + Sardar Umurzakov, Dy. PM & Minister for Investment & Foreign Trade)

    5. Preferential Trade Agreement. (Mr. Abdul Razaq Dawood, Advisor Commerce + Sardar Umurzakov, Dy. PM & Minister for Investment & Foreign Trade)

    6. The Action Plan of practical measures (Roadmap) to further develop cooperation between Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of Security. (Dr. Moeed Yousaf, NSA + Mr. Viktor Makhmudov, Secretary to the Security Council)

    7. MoU Between Ministry of Railways of Pakistan and Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan. (Mr. Habib ur Rehman Gilani, Secretary / Chairman Pakistan Railways + Mr. Ilkhom Makhkamov, Minister for Transport)

    8. MoU on Cooperation between Khokimiyat of Tashkent City of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Administration of Islamabad City of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. (Mr. Hamza Shafqat, Administrator MCI + Mr. Oybek Usmanov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan)

    9. MoU on Cooperation between Surkhandarya Region of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. (Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Secretary Industries Khyber Pakhtunkhwa + Mr. Oybek Usmanov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan)
