Russia Corrupted Some Member States of European Union that Stopped Ukraine’s Membership of EU : Dmytro Kuleba

At one side when the whole Europe (European Union) is standing by Ukraine and supporting with weapons and money in defense against Russian aggression, the Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has revealed that Russia has corrupted some officials of some member states of EU who are creating hindrances in the way of Ukraine’s membership of EU.

Russia is for many years sparing no effort and money from corrupting EU members and politicians to stop Ukraine from integrating with European Union.

Foreign Minister said this in an interview to a Pakistani Tv Channel on 21 July 2023 when he was visiting Islamabad and had meetings with Pakistani counterpart and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He said, it has been decided that Ukraine will become member of EU. Ukraine has been given status of candidate to EU already. It is just a matter of time now. We hope our extensive talks will begin at the end of current year.

Mr. Kuleba did not mention, neither the interviewer asked the names of the officials or the member states of EU that have been bribed by Russia.

Ukrainian FM, during above mentioned interview, strongly contradicted the story of BBC the British Broadcasting Corporation, the European mainstream media house, about Pakistan supporting Ukraine in shape of supply of ammunition etc. He said BBC is very high profile media but sometimes they also make mistake.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto was also asked about this story in the press briefing along with Ukrainian counterpart. Mr. Bilawal also contradicted any such agreement. Mr. Kuleba remained silent at that occasion on this question.

Now this is interesting to note that Ukrainian FM is blaming his main supporter EU’s member states of being the agents of Russia while the mainstream media house of Europe is publishing reports about Ukraine Pakistan defense agreement that is denied by both countries.

Here it is worth noting that on 20 July 2023 when Ukrainian FM was about to take part in the press conference in MOFA of Pakistan, a Russian journalist was also present in the media men gathered to cover the press stake out. This Russian journalist was not allowed to sit in the briefing and he had to leave without covering the Ukraine Pakistan Foreign Ministers press conference.
