Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has said that both sides (Pakistan & Kyrgyzstan) mishandled the matter of students in Bishkek attacks. The students were afraid of living there. The authorities failed to satisfy them and feel them secure there. He said this replying to the questions of this scribe who met Governor in Karachi at Governor House along with the members of Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) on 30 May 2024. This scribe is member standing committee of CPNE.
Here it is worth mentioning that two flights of Pakistani students from Bishkek landed at Karachi airport where Governor Kamran and CM Murad Ali Shah received them. Total number of Pakistani students who returned to Karachi after the attacks of local mobs on 18 May is 385.
This scribe asked the Governor : 1- How did you find the students? What was their condition? They had to leave their studies and spend more money from their parents pockets. 2- They will be compensated or not? 3- What is the possiblity now that their year is not wasted. If they have to take another year there, it will cost more to their parents and most of them can not afford it.

Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori  lamented that the authorities mishandled the matter and the student were frightened naturally. Their parents were intensely worried for the safety of their children. That is why they were not ready to let there children there and similarly the students were not feeling safe in Bishkek.
Governor said that some personality of good repute should have been sent to Bishkek who could convince the students that the situation will soon be controlled and you need not leave Kyrgyzstan.
Here it is worth mentioning that DPM Mr. Ishaq Dar and Minister Ameer Muqam were destined for Bishkek and PM Shehbaz had announced that they would go to Bishkek to meet the students and authorities there but at the eleventh hour both ministers cancelled their trip on the suggestion of Kyrgyz Government.
Mr. Kamran Tessori said that Pakistan Government should take up the matter of compensation of the students damage and financial losses with the Gov of Kyrgyzstan. No one has satisfied neither students nor their parents.
On 26 May Saturday special flight chartered by the Sindh government brought  180 stranded students from Kyrgyzstan who were welcomed by Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, Sindh ministers Sharjeel Memon and Nasir Hussain Shah.Earlier on 24 May Thursday the first special flight brought 205  students from Kyrgyzstan, belonging to different parts of Sindh. This flight was received by CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
National media reports from the airport that emotional scenes were witnessed at the Quaid-i-Azam International Airport where parents and family members received the students with tears in their eyes and smiles on their face. The students finally made to their home after remaining trapped in Kyrgyzstan for more than 10 days amid violent attacks on foreigners.
Governor Tessori said at the occasion, “I am quite satisfied that I met my promise to bring them back. I feel so relieved seeing the parents and families reuniting with their children after spending days in anxiety and panic.”
Here it is worth noting that Sindh was more active in  provincial governments right after the reports emerged of attacks on Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan. Sindh Gov including the Governor  contacted the foreign ministry and made every efforts for special flight for the students so that they could return as early as possible.
