
Rawalpindi, 23 March 2025: On night 22/ 23 March, movement of a group of khwarij, trying to infiltrate through Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces in general area Ghulam Khan Kallay, North Waziristan District.
Own troops effectively engaged and thwarted their attempt to infiltrate. After an intense fire exchange, all 16 Khwarij were sent to hell.
Pakistan has consistently been asking Interim Afghan Government to ensure effective border management on their side of the border. Interim Afghan Government is expected to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khwarij for perpetuating acts of terrorism against Pakistan.
Security forces of Pakistan are determined and remain committed to secure its borders and eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
Earlier on 20 March 2025, Security Forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Dera Ismail Khan District on reported presence of Khwarij.
During the conduct of operation, own troops, after stealthily surrounding the khwarij location, effectively engaged them and resultantly all 10 khwarij were sent to hell.
However, during the intense fire exchange, Captain Hasnain Akhtar (age: 24 years, resident of District Jhelum), who was leading his troops from the front, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat.
Captain Husnain was a brave officer & was renowned for his courage, bold & daring actions during previous operations.
During the operation, weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the Law Enforcement Agencies as well as target killing of innocent civilians.
