The Ambassador of Turkmenistan , Atadjan Movlamov presented the book ” Hakyda Gowheri” (Jewel of the Mind) authored by H.E. Mr. Gurbunguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader and Chairman of Halk Maslahaty, that is focused focuses on the history and culture of Turkmenistan, to Pakistani media in Islamabad on 28 April 2025.
The embassy arranged a multimedia presentation of the book to well inform the press about the ingredients and creative work done by the National Leader in the shape of the book.
Ambassador shared that the book provides interesting information about the history of Turkmen people, moral values, the evolvement of science, education and culture in Turkmenistan, as well as the principles of peacefulness and creation inherited from the Oguzhan era.
This book presents scientific data on political and trade relations of the Altyn-Depe, Margush, Seljuk and Horezmshah states with their close neighbors. According to these data, Turkmens have been following the principles of peace and effectively applying preventive diplomacy since ancient times.
At the beginning of the event, it was noted that as part of the celebrations of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi lasted during 2024, a new work by the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov – the book “Jewel of the Mind” was presented in November that year. In 2024, named “Fount of wisdom Magtymguly Fragi”, significant events took place, including the opening of the Magtymguly monument at the foot of the Kopetdag mountains and the International Forum “Interrelation of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development”, which is also reflected in the book.

The Ambassador has given a detailed presentation to the representatives of Pakistani Media, explaining not just the contents of the book, but also its concept and philosophy, which motivated the Turkmen National Leader to pen it down.
The book was published last year in November and contains an
introduction and two chapters. The first chapter of the book, Travel to History, describes Turkmenistan’s history, how it started and how far it has come, while its second chapter, Spiritual Heritage, exclusively brings to life the values of Turkmen culture and the spiritual facets of Turkmen heritage.

The book, which highlights ancient civilizations and their ties with neighbors, emphasizes the peace-loving traditions of the Turkmen people, as well as their contribution to the development of science and culture.
This valuable publication is a significant contribution to understanding the historical and spiritual heritage of Turkmenistan. It contains rich information about the political, trade and cultural ties of the ancient civilizations of Anau, Altyn- Depe, Margush, states of Seljuks and Khorezmshahs.
The Ambassador said that the book will allow foreign readers to get acquainted with interesting information about the history of the Turkmen people, moral values, the evolution of science, education, and culture in Turkmenistan, and the principles of peacefulness and creation inherited from the Oguzhan era.
At the end of the event, attention was focused on upcoming international events within the framework of 2025, declared the International Year of Peace and Trust, and the 30th Anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan. The culmination of these events will be the Representative Forum, scheduled for December 12, 2025, in the white marble city of Ashgabat.
The book consists of the “Foreword” and two parts.
The first part “Visit to History” tells about the glorious historical path of Turkmen people, as well as the historical and cultural monuments saved on the territory of the country. The National Leader of Turkmen people presented his views and reasoning on these subjects in five chapters of his work.
The second section “Spiritual Legacy”, consisting of six chapters, tells about the diversity of cultural and spiritual values that constitute the heritage of the nation.
Ambassador Movlamov said, last year, the Turkmen people celebrated 300 years of great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi, who left an indelible mark not only in the history of the Turkmen people, but all Central Asia and the world with his invaluable literary heritage. The book includes materials on the impact of Magtymguly’s works on universal values and the contribution of national culture to world civilization.
Magtymguly is an outstanding poet and the founder of Turkmen literature. The poet’s thoughts, expressed in the poems served as an impulse for the emergence of progressive ideas, the main of which is unification of tribes and creation of single Turkmen state.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty , H.E. Mr. Gurbunguly Berdimuhamedov used his previously written works and publications presented to the public, as well as the information collected on the basis of recent historical discoveries made by local archeologists, who are making every effort to glorify the Motherland, by referring to the manuscripts brought from abroad.
The National Leader devoted his vacation to working on the book, he thought a lot, put down on paper the collected data about Turkmen glorious history.
This remarkable work, based on historical information, highlights the centuries of glorious path of Turkmen courageous people, its huge contribution to world development, and the great works of outstanding personalities.
The media persons highly appreciated the literary work of the National Leader and said that the scientific and philosophical works and artistic works created by Turkmen people are an invaluable treasure trove for future generations.
The journalists present in the presentation said the works presented by Hero Arkadag became the cultural and spiritual heritage of the nation. The new book “Hakyda göwheri” is a pearl of wisdom of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, who collected in the book unique information about the glorious history and creative heritage of Turkmen nation. This work is a valuable source for the study of ancient Oghuz literature.
