Islamabad;14 Jan 2020 – Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoy very cordial and close relations in all sectors including defence and both countries continue to mark this uniqueness of their bonds through different common activities at institutional level. Celebration of Uzbekistan’s “Day of Defenders of the Motherland” at Joint Staff Headquarters of Pakistani Armed Forces is one of such activities that has become a tradition in bilateral relations.
Like previous year , this year too,Joint Staff Headquarters of Pakistani Armed Forces hosted a magnificent ceremony to pay homage to the Defenders of the Motherland of Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the initiative of the Military Command of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
In honor of delegation of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Furqat A.Sidiqov and Embassy’s staff, and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan itself, a guard of honor lined up.
The Uzbek delegation passed to the tunes of a military band.
Pakistani side presented a detailed video presentation on the development of Uzbek-Pakistani relations in the field of military and military-technical cooperation, as well as on modern and advanced level of training of Uzbek Armed Forces.
Moreover, within the framework of the event, in honor of the delegation of Uzbekistan’s Embassy, the Joint Staff Headquarters of the Armed Forces of Pakistan organized a reception with the participation of the officers of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan has expressed its gratitude to the Leadership of the Joint Staff H.Q. of the Armed Forces of Pakistan for organizing such an important and significant celebration.
