ISLAMABAD : OIC-COMSTECH hosted a farewell reception on the evening of 20th July in honour of H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, recognizing his valuable contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, as well as enhancing cooperation with OIC-COMSTECH.
The reception brought together a distinguished gathering of ambassadors, diplomats, vice chancellors, academicians, and eminent guests from OIC Member States, Observer States, and friendly countries.
Among the distinguished guests were H.E. the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Ambassadors of Tajikistan Azerbaijan Thailand, Nepal Cyprus Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of Qatar, Jordan, Iran, Russian Trade Counsellor representative of the British High Commission officials and families of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, vice chancellors and distinguished guests from Kenya, Malaysia and other countries.
Coordinator General OIC-COMSTECH, H.E. Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary, paid tribute to Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin for his dedicated efforts in promoting scientific, educational, technological, and diplomatic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
He appreciated the Ambassador’s close engagement with COMSTECH initiatives and his support for strengthening collaboration among institutions of the Muslim world.
As a token of appreciation, Prof. Dr. Choudhary presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Ambassador Kistafin in recognition of his outstanding services and contributions during his diplomatic tenure in Pakistan.
Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin thanked OIC-COMSTECH and Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary for their warm hospitality, friendship, and unwavering support throughout his tenure. He highly appreciated COMSTECH’s remarkable role in advancing science, technology, higher education, and innovation across OIC Member States, and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and OIC-COMSTECH in the years ahead.
The evening concluded in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect, reflecting the enduring partnership between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and COMSTECH’s continued commitment to promoting science diplomacy and international cooperation across the Muslim world.
