Islamabad; On September 10, 2020, On the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Chingiz Aidarbekov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
The Foreign Ministers of the countries discussed issues of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan through exchange of visits at various levels.
The sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen trade and economic ties, promote the implementation of the CASA-1000 project, resume transit and transport links and cultural and humanitarian relations. They also discussed issues of multilateral cooperation and interaction in the return of citizens of the two countries who are unable to return to their homeland due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
