Ambassador Nepal Participates in Baisakhi Celebration at Punja Sahib in Pakistan

Islamabad: Ambassador of Nepal, Mr. Tapas Adhikari participated Baisakhi celebration of Sikh community in Gurudwara Sri Punja Sahib, Hassan Abdal as a special guest at the invitation of Pakistan Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.
The Gurudwara has an imprint of the hand of first guru of Sikhism Guru Nanak Dev and hold very special place for Sikh religion.
Baisakhi is a special day celebrated by Sikh community to commemorate the foundation day of Khalsa Panth. Guru Govinda Singh, tenth guru of Sikhism, had founded the Khalsa order on Baisakhi day in 1699 in Anandapur, and on Baisakhi day in 1801, Punjab King Ranjit Singh proclaimed as Maharaja.
A large number of Sikh devotee from different parts of the world participated in the events at Gurudwara Sri Punja Sahib. Similarly, Pakistani Hindu community also joined the celebrations of Baisakhi day in the Gurudwara.
