Kazakh Logistic Companies with Pakistani Partner Make Impossible the Possible Connecting the Regions

Islamabad: Kazakh companies in collaboration with Pakistani partner made impossible quite possible by transporting trade containers from Kazakhstan to UAE through Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The first multimodal transportation through the Trans-Afghan corridor pilot project completed successfully.
Over the next two months, it is planned to transport 60 containers along this route.
The first multimodal transportation through the Trans-Afghan corridor has been organized, reports the press service of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.
“As part of cooperation to develop the export potential of KTZ Express JSC and QazTrade JSC, in partnership with the Pakistani logistics operator National Logistics Corporation (NLC), they carried out a pilot multimodal transportation to the port of Jebel Ali (UAE) through Afghanistan and Pakistan,” the press section of national company reported.

The transport chain began at the Pavlodar FEZ on April 27 with the loading of products into two 21-ton trucks and shipment to the Zhetygen TLC, where they were reloaded into two 40-foot sea containers.
Next, the containers were installed on trucks with a container trailer and sent to the Pakistani port of Karachi.
The cargo arrived in Karachi in 20 days, covering 4,900 km. On June 1, the containers were loaded onto a feeder vessel and delivered to the port of Jebel Ali on June 3.
The total transportation period was 38 days, which was the most effective solution for the client. A total of 60 containers are planned to be transported along this route in June-July.
