Bangkok : On 17 June, 2025 Embassy of Pakistan bid farewell to another batch of 16 Pakistani victims of human trafficking who had been held in scam compounds in Myanmar.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Government of Pakistan, the Royal Thai Government, and the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the individuals were  safely en route to Pakistan and reunited with their families.

Here it is pertinent to note that many Pakistanis are still languishing in such bonded labor places on the border of Thailand and Myanmar. The Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok is working to identify them and play its role in getting them released from there.

Ahmed Sultan from Nankana Sahib, Mubashir Nawaz from Lahore, Basman Hamza, Hussam Afzal from Rahim Yar Khan and Muhammad Shahbaz from Faisalabad are also among the victims of this fraud. Their families have appealed to the Embassy to help them.
