ALGIERS – Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received a phone call on Tuesday from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Steinmeier, during which they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen and develop them across various fields, the Algerian Presidency said in a statement.
On this occasion, the German President renewed his invitation to President Tebboune to visit Germany, which he accepted while, in turn, extending an invitation to the German President to visit Algeria, the statement said.
In this phone call, the two presidents discussed the developments of the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, where they affirmed the two-state solution as a way to end the conflict in the occupied Palestinian territories.
They also touched upon current regional and international issues of mutual interest to both countries, the source added.
