Lefkosa / TRNC : The President of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Mr. Ersin Tatar received and met with the President of the Pakistan Unity and Culture Association, Nawaz Muhammad and members of the Board of Directors in his office.
Speaking at the reception, President Tatar stated that Pakistan is an important friendly and brotherly country for both Motherland Turkey and the TRNC, and stated that friendship, brotherhood, faith and cultural integrity strengthen the ties between us.
Pointing out that the number of Pakistani citizens coming and settling in the TRNC has increased, President Tatar said, “I would like to thank you for your contributions to the TRNC economy.”
Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, President Ersin Tatar also drew attention to the good relations established with the Pakistani people and emphasized that the communication established is a great value.
President Ersin Tatar stated that when the economic structure is considered, employees from Pakistan provide great services by working hard in every field of the TRNC, and stated that his greatest wish is for the strengthening of the ties between the two countries, which are of national value with spiritual values.
Emphasizing that Pakistan is a country that supports the TRNC, President Tatar stated that the statement made by Pakistani Prime Minister Mr. Shahbaz Sharif at the joint press conference held after their meetings with Turkish President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stating that “Pakistan fully supports the Northern Cyprus cause and stands by Turkey without hesitation in this cause,” strengthened the rightful cause of the Turkish Cypriot People.
President Ersin Tatar expressed his satisfaction with the support given by the Pakistani Prime Minister to the rightful cause of the Turkish Cypriot People, stating that they gave a message to the whole world and took an important step in order to make the voice of the Turkish Cypriot people heard.
Noting that Pakistanis in the TRNC are the architects of the bridge established for the development of relations, President Tatar stated that he also attached importance to the association’s activities carried out within this scope and that he was a follower of them, and offered his support.
Noting that the association’s activities on issues such as the friendship and brotherhood relations between Pakistan and the TRNC and the adaptation of Pakistani citizens who have newly settled in our country are meaningful and important, President Tatar wished the association officials success in their work.
Pakistan Unity and Culture Association President Nawaz Muhammad provided information to President Ersin Tatar about the association established in 2020 and the association’s activities and explained the work they have carried out to bring Pakistanis together, solve their problems and represent their own culture in the TRNC.
Expressing their satisfaction with the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Pakistan, Muhammad expressed their love and admiration for Cyprus and expressed their desire to host President Ersin Tatar in Pakistan and invited him to Pakistan.
