Islamabad: 26 July 2025 – Peoples Party sports wing Punjab and Shaheed Bhutto Foundation celebrated the birthday of President Asif Ali Zardari at Szabist in which a large number of leaders , parliamentarians and workers of PPP from twin cities participated enthusiastically.
President PPP Sports Wing Punjab Mohammad Tayyab Chattha was the organizer while Senator Shahadat Ali Awan and former governor KP Barrister Masood Kausar were the Chief Guest.
Senator Shahadat Awan apprised the participants about how President Zardari helped his poor friend George a mechanic of motor cars for the wedding arrangements of his three daughters. He said the young Asif Zardari sold out the whole furniture of his office to raise fund for the marrieges.
Tayyab Chattha in his introductory remarks said that President Zardari has promoted politics of understanding that has played important role in political stability and solution of the problems of the public.
Former candidate for national assembly from Rawalpindi Ms Sumaira Gull ,Captain R Wasif Khan, Nargis Faiz Malik MPA, Shehzada Kausar Geelani, divisional president Mudassar Nawaz Malik , Professor Tahir Malik, Zaildar Syed Ahsan Shah , Sajid Tanoli Lawyers Wing Rawalpindi, Asif Khan Tehsil President were also present.
The speakers shed light on the sacrifices of Asif Ali Zardari for democracy and for the survival of the party after martyrdom of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. The speakers said that Asif Ali Zardari saved Pakistan after the martyrdom of Mohtarma and later saved democracy from the conspiracies and agitations of non democratic forces including PTI.
They said that It was peaples party who save PMLN gov in 2014 and now as well, the system is running smoothly because PPP is standing with democracy. The participants prayed for the health of President.
