Sri Lankan High Commissioner Opens Exhibition of Paintings , Drawings of Students @ National Art Gallery of Pakistan in Islamabad

Islamabad,December 4,2025_The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) organized an inspiring exhibition showcasing the creative works of students from its six-month Drawing and Painting course at the PNCA National Art Gallery.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Rear Admiral Fred Senevirathne (Retd), High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan, along with Director General PNCA, Mr. Muhammad Ayoub Jamali.
While appreciating the artistic talent of the students, the High Commissioner termed the initiative as “a wonderful effort” and emphasized that such creative activities should continue to flourish.
The exhibition will remain open to the public from *4th December to 9th December at the PNCA National Art Gallery, Islamabad.
The high commissioner commended the efforts of PNCA in promotion of cultural talent and appreciated the skills of the students.
He said, as we walk through this gallery , we are not just seeing drawings and paintings. We are witnessing the culmination of dedication, the triumph of imagination over the blank canvasand the proud results of PNCA’s invaluable mentorship.
For students, he said, your creativity is a gift and your courage in sharing it is inspiring.
The chief guest expressed his happiness for display of the work of Sri Lankan students at the gallery. He said , I am profoundly touched that my Sri Lankan family found a welcoming space withing PNCA’s programs and had the opportunity to participate in the very exhibition.
“This act of inclusive cultural exchange embodies the true spirit of art – a universal language that transcends borders and build bridges of shared human experiences., The high commissioner mentioned.
