Iran has used a domestically-made air defense system to hit the US F-35 fighter jet, a military source told Tasnim.

“The targeting of the American F-35, which the United States previously introduced to the world as the pride of its military technology, was done using Iranian air defense system,” the military source told the Tasnim News Agency.

The source at the same time underlined that Iran has not unveiled some of its military technologies in the field of offense and defense, and this fact has confused Americans and Israelis.

This military source noted that by studying on air defense systems in the advanced countries of the world, the Americans and Israelis thought that no air defense was capable of targeting and hitting the F-35; but they were stunned by the unknown and domestically-made air defense system of Iran.

The source added that in the coming days, Iran will unveil its new capabilities against enemies, and very day that passes in this imposed war will be a new humiliation for enemies despite their technological claims.

An informed source said the recent media reports about destruction of the second F-35 fighter jet over Iran has not been confirmed so far.

Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, the informed source said, “Media report that has been circulating about the destruction of the second American F-35 has not been confirmed so far.”

“It is possible that this fake news was spread by the Americans and Israelis themselves in a bid to overshadow the targeting of the first F-35,” the source added.

This informed source emphasized that the relevant Iranian officials will announce it if the destruction of the second F-35 is confirmed.

He noted that the destruction of the American F-35 practically destroyed the US military technological superiority in the world, and for this reason, efforts such as spreading some unconfirmed rumors and then denying them could be a kind of devilish media campaign.

The Iranian Air Defense intercepted an F-15 fighter jet of the enemy in southern Iran and targeted the aircraft with a missile.

The Iranian Air Defense Joint Headquarters announced on Sunday that it has targeted the hostile fighter jet in southern Iran.

It said an intruding F-15 fighter jet of the enemy was tracked in the airspace of Iran’s southern coasts around the Hormuz Island, adding that the Army Air Defense’s ground-to-air defense systems fired a missile at the aircraft.

(IRGC) announced on Friday that the third hostile enemy fighter jet F-16 was hit in the central sky of Iran.

In a statement on Friday, the he Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Public Relations announced that the third hostile enemy fighter jet belonging to the Zionist regime, an F-16, was hit at 3:45 am local time in the central part of Iran.

The statement added that Israeli aircraft was hit by the modern air defense systems of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force.

The successful interception and destruction of more than 200 aircraft, including drones, cruise missiles, refueling tankers and highly advanced enemy fighters in the first 3 weeks of the war, indicates the increase in the Iranian armed forces’ power to monitor and intercept aggressors in the skies of Iran and the region and the strengthening of the country’s air defense shields.

At least 16 US military aircraft have been lost since the start of the war with Iran, including 10 Reaper strike drones hit by enemy fire and a half-dozen other planes badly damaged in attacks or accidents.

Bloomberg published a report by Gerry Doyle and Courtney McBride : The most serious losses were because of accidents: three US F-15s downed by friendly fire in Kuwait, and a KC-135 tanker destroyed during a refueling operation. All six crew members on the tanker were killed in the accident.

Five other KC-135s were reportedly damaged by an Iranian missile strike while parked at an airfield in Saudi Arabia.

So far only the uncrewed Reapers have been brought down by Iranian defenses, with at least nine being destroyed in the air, according to a person familiar with the matter. One was hit at an airfield in Jordan by a ballistic missile, people familiar with the matter said.

The other two Reapers were lost to accidents. The drones are meant to be “attritable” — flown in higher-risk areas because they don’t carry pilots and are much cheaper to replace than a crewed plane.
