KARACHI : The Embassy of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with Pakistan’s leading pharmaceutical company Getz Pharma, organized a large-scale business forum attended by over 150 representatives of the business communities of both countries. Mr. Khalid Mahmood, CEO of Getz Pharma, for his support, professionalism, and personal contribution to the successful organization of this event.
During the forum, I presented to the participants the reforms being implemented under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the new tax and customs opportunities, the investment and industrial potential of our country, as well as promising avenues for cooperation in energy, petrochemicals, IT, healthcare, tourism, agriculture, and other key sectors.
It was emphasized that thanks to the strong political will of the Leaders of our two nations, relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan have risen to the level of a strategic partnership, while trust and business activity between entrepreneurs are growing rapidly.
On the sidelines of the forum:
Presentations were held on Uzbekistan’s investment and business opportunities;
Productive B2B meetings took place;
memorandums of cooperation were signed between interested companies of the two brotherly countries.
Several important agreements were also reached:
— the organization of a major Pakistani business mission to Uzbekistan in February 2026;
— joint work on establishing the Uzbekistan–Pakistan Industrial Zone in Khorezm region;
— the development of industrial cooperation and logistics clusters.
The forum once again demonstrated that the economic potential between our countries is enormous, and we are confidently moving forward to fully unlock it for the prosperity of the peoples of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
