“Corridors of Connectivity: Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the Age of Socio-Economic Integration”

Bishkek; 27 Oct 2021 -Second Kyrgyz-Pakistani business forum on the topic: “Corridors of Connectivity: Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in the Age of Socio-Economic Integration” was conducted in Bishkek. The event was organized by Embassy of Kyrgyz Republic in  Pakistan in partnership with the University of Lahore within the framework of activities towards  promotion of economic diplomacy and was supported by the Ministry of investments of Kyrgyz Republic, Ministry of economics of Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz Union of manufacturers and entrepreneurs.

The purpose of the forum was to familiarize the Pakistani business delegation with the investment, trade and economic opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as to establish targeted contacts and develop a partner network through B2B meetings between representatives of the business community of two states.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan H.E. Mr. Sardar Tariq, Chairman of Lahore University Awais Rauf and the member of the National Assembly of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Afzal Dhandla made a solemn speech at the opening of the forum.

The forum was attended by representatives of large Pakistani companies such as Marhaba Laboratories, Onsole, FM Foods, Jan Plastic Industry, Brizane group of companies, Bahria Town, Hac Agri, Miles Textile, Agha Textiles, Medisearch Pharmaceuticals, Revco Pharma, Best Trans Pvt ltd, TERAFORT Limited, Spartans Global (Pvt) Ltd and others, as well as representatives of the business circles of Kyrgyzstan.

During the event, heads of relevant ministries and departments of the Kyrgyz Republic made their presentations.

Also during the forum, a panel discussion was organized, during which the participants of the event were able to get answers to their questions.

At the end of the event, business representatives of two countries were presented with thematic platforms (on pharmaceuticals and medicine, information technologies, agriculture, textiles and trade) to establish business contacts between the business circles of Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
