Pakistan-Azerbaijan Agree to Hold Early Talks on PTA

    Islamabad: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi welcomed the distinguished guest Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jehon Berumov who arrives in Islamabad on 18 Dec 2021. Both leaders held delegation level talks at MOFA of Pakistan in which promotion of cooperation was discussed in detail.

    Foreign Ministers agree to hold early talks on preferential trade agreement between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

    FM Qureshi said that there are deep brotherhood ceremonies between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.Bilateral relations between the two countries are based on common historical, cultural and cultural values.

    “Pakistan seeks to establish lasting and fruitful relations with Central Asian countries, including Azerbaijan, following Central Asia Vision.Pakistan focuses on promoting political, trade, economic and defense ties with Central Asian countries.Pakistan has always supported Azerbaijan’s principled position on Nogorno Karabakh issue.Establishment of Pakistan-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Chamber is leap forward to increasing the economic cooperation.” Shah Mehmood continued.

    The visiting dignitary appreciated the warm welcome in Pakistan. Ambassador Khazar Farhadov also accompanied his Foreign Minister in talks.
