Uzbek Transport Minister and Pakistan Railway Minister Discuss Implementation of Trans Afghan Railway Project

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Azam Khan Swati meets with Uzbek Minister of Transport. Minister  referred to the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan to take all necessary steps to ensure the implementation of the Trans-Afghan Railway project between Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The two sides discussed the implementation of a tripartite agreement on the construction of a transit Afghan railway between Mazar-e-Sharif, Kabul, Jalalabad, Torkham and Peshawar.

The two sides welcomed and encouraged Chinese cooperation in financing, and agreed to provide technical assistance to the Russian Federation, including satellite imagery and topographic surveys, at recent meetings in Tashkent.
The project will give Uzbekistan uninterrupted access to the water ports of Karachi, Bin Qasim and Gwadar.

Rail infrastructure projects will provide lifeline support for the reconstruction of Afghanistan and will help alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. Follow the plan quickly on the grounds.
