No confidence motion against Prime Minister seems to be coming in few days as the opposition leaders Bilawal has given 5 days ultimatum to PM IK while Maulana Fazl ur Rehman is not ready to provide 2 days even. Matter of fact is that Prime Minister himself has felt the heat of No confidence that is why he held meetings with allies, especially Q League and his own MNAs whose loyalties are suspicious. PM categorically cleared them to leave now if they want to leave later. It was the most desperate signal received by the stalwarts from their, so far undaunted leader.
Capital is humming with different theories on the possibilities of No Confidence. Political analysts find them at a loss to understand what will be IK’s strategy to win the motion? What will be his reaction if the move is succeeded? Opposition is said to have evolved a strategy of transit government that will announce early general elections in the country. But IK can take it accordingly to dissolve the assemblies himself and give a date of elections. And another apprehension is the system may be wrapped up and third(now actually fourth) force may come forth from behind the curtain.
As long as number game is concerned, PTI and allies are 179 while united opposition is 162. Simple majority is 172 in the house of 342. Opposition, short of 10 is sure that 24 MNAs of PTI and allies will cast their votes in favor of no confidence. One can better understand it looking at the popularity of PTI in the public. People are cursing the government holding it responsible for unbearable inflation making both ends impossible to meet. Majority of PTI MNAs can not visit their constituencies because people protest and criticize them for not fulfilling the promises. Thus many PTI MNAs have reached to the conclusion that they can not win next election if contested on the ticket of PTI.
These MNAs are in contact with their favorite party weather it is PPP or PMLN. The electibles that Imran Khan collected from hither and thither, are experienced political players. They are paving their own ways in the future set up of Pakistan. Imran Khan has another big problem from inside. FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi is posing himself the substitute of Imran Khan. That was the reason, Imran did not include his name in the performance awards, distributed among the ministers few days ago. Murad Saeed received the number one award.
The draft of the move has been prepared as shared by fully confident Maulana Fazal ur Rehman after meeting with Asif Zardari and having talk with Shahbaz Sharif on phone. He did not share the details but assured the media that opposition has a preparation for post no confidence success. What is the reason behind full confidence of Maulana on no confidence?
Lt Gen Faiz is no more DG ISI? Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum, present DG ISI has issued strict orders to the personnel not to involve in any political activity? The head of aircraft group,, ATM of IK is no more available to defuse the move and save his friend? Selectors are annoyed on IK’s interventions in Military Matters? Establishment, one time supporter of IK is fed up of PTI government failures?
Yes! these are main reasons of a confident opposition. Above all, majority of public wants PTI out of government as the leader has done nothing more than disappointing his own workers and colleagues. Change, austerity, anti – corruption, good governance, solution to public problems, recovery of plundered national wealth, independent foreign policy and many other promises remained promises only about which the President of PTI himself said that all these were political promises.
There will be no chaos. Ik threatened to be more dangerous if ousted from the government but it was not more than his many other utterances on which he made a world record of u-turns. IK will not be a position now on to attract the masses as he used to before with the full support of the unknown. Leadership has been changed there. Now the turn for change is for the leader of the parliament.
