Samarkand: 16 Sep 2022 – The leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states have adopted the main document of the summit – the Samarkand Declaration. A bunch of documents of cooperation was approved in various areas.
The given declaration defines approaches to ensuring regional stability, sustainable economic development, strengthening of transport and communication ties, and deepening of cultural dialogue.
The SCO countries condemned terrorist acts worldwide and intend to eliminate conditions supporting terrorism.
SCO countries find it important to ramp up international efforts to counter youth involvement in terrorist organizations.
The leaders of SCO countries said it is inadmissible to intervene in the internal affairs of countries under the pretext of counteraction to terrorism.
SCO countries spoke for continued nuclear disarmament in the world.
SCO expansion and deepening of international cooperation will help ensure safety and stability in the region.
Unilateral use of economic sanctions, except those imposed by the UN Security Council, is incompatible with international law principles.
