Kazakhstan’s SCAT Air Direct Flight Welcome @ Lahore International @ 08 July, Historical Day – Big Milestone

LAHORE/ ALMATY : The 8th July of 2023 became a historical day and milestone in the history of bilateral relations between Republic of Kazakhstan and Pakistan when the first direct flight took off from Almaty and landed at Lahore international airport. Both cities are the center of civilizations, culture, education, trade and business making them like sister cities of brotherly nations. This direct connectivity is opening the door on the people, tourists, students and businessmen of both countries to meet and greet and treat each other as friends and brothers and sisters to exchange views and information about each other to bridge the gaps and build the relations for mutual benefit. Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin proudly welcomed the flight at Lahore International.

a solemn ceremony of launching a direct flight from Almaty to Lahore took place. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Y.Kistafin, Trade Representative of Pakistan M.Farukh, representative of the National Office of Pakistan M.Rafik, Head of the Department of the Committee of civil aviation of the Ministry of industry and infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Kobenov, Representative of the SCAT airlines V.Korotkov and other guests.

During the ceremony, there was mentioned the importance of establishing airflights for the development of trade, academic ties, tourism, strengthening ties between citizens and so on.

Ambassador Y.Kistafin remarked the significant potential for the development of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan.

Upon arrival in Lahore, a solemn ceremony was organized to welcome the first flight, which was attended by Minister of Information A.Mir, Minister of Housing and Urban Development B.Azfar Ali, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Lahore M.Rao, Co-Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Council Mehmood ul Hassan Awan and others.

The Pakistani side congratulated on the significant event and expressed confidence that direct flights will open up new opportunities for strengthening partnership between our countries.

On the first flight, there was a delegation of businessmen headed by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Lahore M.Rao and Co-Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Council Mehmood ul Hassan Awan went to Almaty.

For reference: Starting from July 8, two times a week every Wednesday and Saturday, SCAT Airlines will operate direct flights on the route Almaty-Lahore. The duration of the flight is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
