    Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has apprised the ambassadors serving in the capital about his work at the ministry to strengthen good relations with their countries. He shared his views on how Pakistan looks at the ties with all countries including the neighboring nations as necessary to build a conducive atmosphere for common development and collective prosperity. FM also took the ambassadors into confidence that the politics of Pakistan is separate and our diplomacy with construction of cordial relations with all countries is separate.

    Bilawal said that we have made huge efforts to make good ties with the countries.He stated that the country’s foreign relations improved during the last 15 months.Indian Charge d, Affairs was also present at this occasion when Bilawal said
    “We want good ties with all the neighbors”
    Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was addressing the ambassadors, high commissioners and  diplomats at a special dinner hosted in their honor in Islamabad on Tuesday. Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf was also present.
    He said that being the foreign minister, he visited different countries and made efforts to build Pakistan’s strong relations.
    Bilawal said that Pakistan is heading toward general elections. We are trying our best that the politics would not impact the foreign relations. Pakistan would advance to the better situation. He assured the foreign community that politics of Pakistan has nothing to do with our foreign relations.
    Regarding upcoming general elections in the country, the Foreign Minister said it will be an opportunity to the people of Pakistan to elect politicians and parties, who believe in expanding space for political harmony and tolerance in the country.
    Here it is worth noting that many countries that have huge investments in Pakistan are highly sensitive about the politics of Pakistan, especially about next elections and their outcome. The ambassadors has watched what happened on 09 May of this year when PTI Chairman was arrested. The envoys are worried about the political stability in the country.
    He mentioned that his grandfather and his mother also served as foreign ministers in the past and it was a great honor for him that he led the foreign service during this time. During his speech, he also paid tribute to the ambassadors and the officers serving at the foreign office.
    Dean of Diplomatic Corp, Ambassador Turkmenistan H.E Atadjan Movlamov also addressed the guests. He admired the cooperation of MOFA and other government officials in performance of the duties of the ambassadors in Islamabad.
    Bilawal thanked the countries that helped Pakistan achieve IMF Program. He also admired the role of the countries whose support was vital in the goals of COP27. He termed climate change as major challenge that can be faced with collective efforts only.
    The Foreign Minister said the coalition government tried to restore engagement with the world community across the globe. He said that he visited various capitals of the world and during those tours he found an immense potential for Pakistan that needs to be tapped.
    Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also thanked the global community for helping Pakistan in natural disasters like recent floods. He said Pakistan experienced turbulent economic challenges and the world community, especially the friendly countries like China and Saudi Arabia came forward to help Pakistan in reaching out an agreement with the International Monetary Fund.
