Daily Dawn has qouted a senior investigation official as saying,” Preliminary inquiries suggested the possibility that the woman had administered poison to the children before consuming it herself. However, he stressed that investigators were examining the case from multiple angles and had not reached a final conclusion.
“The exact cause and circumstances of the deaths will only be established after the post-mortem and forensic reports are received. Further legal action would be decided in light of the medical and forensic evidence, the officer said.
It is right that anything should not be said, before the investigation is concluded because any comment may affect the investigation but what we should call it when a number of contradictions in the statement of the head of the family are clearly proved and he is the sole beneficiary of the deaths ?
1- Nasir Dogar, the head of family, had return ticket to US but not the other family members (the victims). Nasir was to fly back to US on 27th of July.
2- Neighbors confirmed he was at home while Children and Wife was poisoned but he said to Police that he was out.
3- Neighbors confirmed that when they asked him why children are crying , he replied children are not at home.
4- He is the only survivor in the tragic incident. He said, children and wife ate ice cream while there was no ice cream found at the table but Halwa was there and that was consumed by all victims.
5- He responded to neighbors rudely ,instead seeking help and lied that children are not at home while neighbors were hearing children crying.
6- His wife came out at gate while neighbors were there and she told them , her husband ate her children.
7- She fell down and vomited blood but Nasir Dogar instead of being surprised or taken aback acted normally and dragged her into the room.
8- He himself said all family was sitting at dining table and we were about to have food when he had to go out for some other thing. He also said, he remained out of house for one hour. He changed statements.
9- He did not call for medial help while his children were crying with pain in their stomach.
10- He was normal when Police arrived and examined the site. His gestures were like he knew already what is about to happen in his home.
Nasir Dogar has finally recorded the statement to Police that is on record. He blamed his wife of poisoning the children and then consumed herself.
According to Police, Alina (wife) had a sister in US. Police contacted her and recorded her statement as well. She confirmed that her sister Alina remained ill (Nasir said Psycho) but she was fine for last six months as she was not taking medicine.
Certainly, both Nasir and Alina have extended families and Police can contact them in US and in Pakistan Sialkot district but in the meanwhile the postmortem report of the victims has confirmed the death due to poison.
Nasir Dogar stated before Police that his wife ,on his return told him that the children went to a friend of Alina and she said to him to eat ice cream but the outdoor bell rang and he had to go out. (It is when the neighbors rang the bell to ask what is happening in the house)
That friend of Alina shared with some media persons that Alina would tell her about lose temprament of Nasir. She showed a text message of Alina to her in the same connection.
Police is examining the mobile of Nasir Dogar and further interrogating for any clue that could provide a lead to reach some conclusion on who did this heinous crime.
