Islamabad-The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Barlybay Sadykov met with Mr.Mohammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Senate Chairman of the Parliament to Pakistan on 08 Feb 2019.
The talks held were largely about prospects of developing Kazakh-Pak relationship, and particularly the one between the parliaments. In this regard Mr. Barlybai Sadykov underscored Kazakhstan’s constant willingness to strengthen ties between parliamentarians of two countries.
Particular emphasis was given at the meeting to prospects of intensifying in a befitting manner of trade and economic domain of the Kazakh-Pak cooperation. In this regard Ambassador Barlybai Sadykov conveyed a brief overview of Kazakhstan’s economic and investment capacity, while confirming also readiness of the Kazakhs side to be in close cooperation with potential investors from Pakistan.
On his part Mr.Mohammad Sadiq Sanjrani stressed the importance of parliament-to-parliament cooperation as a part of entire interaction spectrum between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. In this regard he revealed on behalf of the Senate keenness to accept in Pakistan a delegation of the Kazakh PM for discussing with them in a more detailed manner ways of extending interaction between two countries parliaments.
Both sides have also noted a significance of establishing in late 2018 within the Senate of Parliament of Pakistan a Kazakhstan-Pakistan Friendship Group, which comprises five senators.
In this regard Ambassador Barlybai Sadykov stressed the significance of the upcoming 4th meeting of speakers of the Eurasian countries parliaments, which is scheduled to be held in September 2019 in Astana, and where leaders of both chambers of Pakistan’s parliament are kindly invited to attend. Underscoring the wish of the Kazakh side them necessarily to be a part of this event, the Head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission handed over to Mr.Mohammad Sadiq Sanjrani the copy of the personal invitation letter, addressed to him.
At the end of the meeting both sides agreed to be in touch in reigniting cooperation between the parliaments and business communities of two countries, and reaffirmed their intention reach visible results in the nearest future.
