Islamabad, Pakistan;After handing over of the 25 school campuses by the Government of Pakistan to the Turkish Maarif Foundation in January, the country office organized its first National Inter-School Mathematics Olympiad Prize Distribution Ceremony. The ceremony was witnessed by the Turkish Ambassador, President Turkish Maarif Foundation, Country Director Turkish Maarif Foundation Pakistan along with prestigious Turkish guests.
The event was organized to distribute awards and cash prizes among winners from Inter-School Mathematics Olympiad and Board Examinations. Students were given cash prizes ranging from PKR 25 to 100 thousand. Around 600 private and government schools had participated from across Pakistan. A student “Ali Rohan” due to his intellectual excellence was given title of “AlKhwarizmi of Pakistan” among all students along with a cash prize.
His Excellency Mr. Ambassador shared his enthusiasm and congratulated the team of the Turkish Maarif Foundation and Pak Turk Maarif International Schools and Colleges for holding the first National level event. He also ascertained the responsibility bestowed on him to guard the interests of the direct beneficiaries of the educational system.
Prof. Dr. Birol Akhgun, the president of the Turkish Maarif Foundation said that on behalf of the Foundation and the Turkish mission, it is a happy day that we are celebrating with the parents of our students. It is an honor to host and celebrate the performances of the students coming for different schools from all over Pakistan.
He said that the ambitions of the Turkish Maarif Foundation Pakistan are deeply rooted in the relationship between the two countries and will be playing its role as a bridge of opportunities in education. It is our mission to invest in the future of the potential students in Pakistan.
The TMF Country Office is targeting virtuous programs for Pakistan. It includes purpose-built school/college campuses, Research and Technical Resource Centers and providing affordable quality education with all allied academic services of international standards. This is accumulating as the prospect of the biggest partnership in education in the history of the relationship between the two countries.
To compete with the developed countries, the foundation has taken the course of mobilizing partnerships in brotherly countries and target advancements in science, technology and education. For the purpose proficient academicians will be engaged to assure maximized impact of the foundation.
He declared that the teaching staff will be incentivized to work whole heartedly.
President Turkish Maarif assures that this foundation will raise decent generation who will use their knowledge and wisdom for the betterment of humanity.
