Uzbekistan and Pakistan: A New Era of Strategic Partnership

ISLAMABAD: At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan, a landmark business mission unfolded, bringing together leaders from Pakistan’s top companies to explore Uzbekistan’s unique potential for business and growth.

In the districts of Angor, Kizirik, and Sariosiyo in Surkhandarya, and Qarshi, Yakkabag, Chirokchi, and Kokdala in Kashkadarya, key meetings explored avenues for economic cooperation. These sessions, paired with regional presentations and B2B meetings, led to several promising agreements and set the stage for enduring partnerships.

During his visit to Syrdarya and Tashkent, Khalid Mahmood, CEO of Getz Pharma, reached a breakthrough agreement to expand Novugen Pharma’s operations in Uzbekistan, with plans to produce cutting-edge biotechnological pharmaceuticals — a pivotal advancement for Uzbekistan’s healthcare industry.

In Bukhara, the Pakistani delegation identified synergies in textile and food production, logistics, and tourism. Agreements were secured to launch joint ventures and boost Pakistani tourist flow to the region, enriching cultural and economic ties.
