PERWAKILAN Ladies presented Malaysian cultural dresses at Fashion Show in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: On February 13, 2025, the High Commission of Malaysia in Islamabad, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy and Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Designing, hosted a spectacular Fashion Show “Cultural Colors” in Islamabad.

The event brought together diplomats, senior government offcials, business leaders, media professionals, and cultural enthusiasts for an evening celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of an appreciation certificate by His Excellency Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, to Mr. Usman Tahir, the CEO of Niftysphere Institute of Arts and Designing, in recognition of his contribution to the event and for fostering cultural exchange between the two nations.

During the event, models from PERWAKILAN Ladies presented Malaysian cultural dresses including Songket, Bidayuh, Kebaya Labuh, Puteri Perak, Sinuangga-Kadazan Dusun and Baju Silat Layang among others. Video on Malaysia Truly Asia and visit Malaysia 2026 was also presented to the audience.

The event successfully conveyed the essence of Malaysia’s heritage, encouraging attendees to explore the beauty of the country’s traditions, landscapes, and unique offerings in the tourism sector.

The Cultural Colors fashion show not only served as a platform to celebrate Malaysian culture but also underscored the enduring importance of fostering diplomatic and people-to-people ties between nations.
