DPM/ FM Pakistan Holds Telephone Calls with Ministers of Azerbaijan on India and Economic Cooperation

Islamabad : 29 April 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation today with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikkayil Jabbarov.

They discussed progress on ongoing development and investment initiatives.

Both sides affirmed their strong bilateral ties and committed to working closely to advance investment cooperation and enhance mutual understanding of priority projects under consideration.

Earlier on 26 April 2025, Ishaq Dar held a telephonic call with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.

DPM/FM briefed him on recent developments in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). While rejecting India’s baseless allegations, DPM/FM cautioned against India’s false propaganda against Pakistan and thanked Azerbaijan for its consistent support to Pakistan’s stance on the issue of disputed territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

Both leaders also discussed ongoing Pakistan-Azerbaijan bilateral cooperation particularly in trade and investment sectors.
