Rawalpindi : 07 Aug 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E Alisher Tukhtaev had a constructive and purposeful meeting with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan here today.He was warmly recieved by Chairman at his office. The sides discussed in detail on regional security, linkages in transport sector and promoting strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Here it is worth mentioning that General Mirza visited Uzbekistan in Sep 2023 leading a military delegation. He had meetings at Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan on the progress made in bilateral cooperation. Both sides have exchanged many high level delegations from defense side to forge a strategic partnership in defense training and production.
