Pakistani Observers Hail Parliamentary Elections in Azerbaijan as Well Organized & Fair for All

Baku/Azerbaijan; 10 Feb 2020 – Pakistani observers have  hailed parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan as well-organized, smooth and inclusive in all senses and means for all candidates and parties.

Pakistani observers visited different poling stations in Baku and other districts of Azerbaijan to examine the arrangements for the elections. The observers included editors, chief editors, senior journalists, one head of a think tank and one professor doctor of a leading university in Islamabad.

Chairman Pakistan Azerbaijan Friendship Association in National Assembly of Pakistan Mr Murtaza Javed Abbasi was also among the observers of Pakistan. He alongwith Khalid Taimur Akram, Director General of the Islamabad-based Center for Global and Strategic Studies held  a press conference in Baku. Dr Zafar Nawaz Jaspal from Qauid e Azam University was also present.

They expressed thier confidence that the newly-elected parliament will do its utmost for Azerbaijan’s development and prosperity.

Murtaza Javed Abbasi, said that he monitoring the elections at several polling stations in Baku, Ganja and Nakhchivan.

Editor Pakistan in the World Mr Tazeen Akhtar who is also in Baku Azerbaijan to cover the elections visited different poling stations in Bina Gadi and other areas with fellow journalists Amir Ilyas Rana from Express Group, Gauhar Zahid Malik from Pakistan Observer, Riaz Malik National Herald Tribiun, Shamim Mehmood from Online News Agency, Anwer Abbas Bol Tv Channel.

They found the voters on the poling stations expressing their choice for the next legislature of their country. Presiding officers were keeping close eyes and the repersentatives of all contesting parties including the opposition were also present to guide their voters.

The editors and senior journalists appreciated the spirit of the people who were visiting the poling stations despite very cold weather on the poling day.
