Baku/Azerbaijan; Pakistani editors and electronic media journalists visited Azerbaijan’s leading news agency Report (www.report.az)on 06 Feb 2020 as part of their trip. Pakistan delegation was in Baku to cover Parliamentary Elections in Azerbaijan that were held on 09 Feb 2020.
The editors and senior journalists had a detailed discussion with the Editor-in-Chief of Report agency Murad Aliyev and Editor Ms Victoria Dementieva-Lebedeva at their office about their working and matters of mutual interest.
Murad Aliyev familiarized the guests with the activities of the news agency and working of its employees in different beats.
He also answered questions about the working of mass media in Azerbaijan, the main challenges they face in the performance of their duties, as well as the coverage of the election campaign .
Murad Aliyev noted that Report correspondents ensure comprehensive coverage of the election campaign and the day of voting in both Baku and the regions of the country.
For their part, the Pakistani colleagues shared their country’s experience in this issue.They also discussed the issues of cooperation between the press and media of the two countries.
Mr Tazeen Akhtar editor of “Pakistan in the World” magazine and “Daily Azkaar” noted that Report news agency is contributing a lot in the information and communication needs of Azerbaijan especially among the economic and commercial sectors. He offered joint ventures to the administration of the news agency, in Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
Editor-in-Chief took the delegation to different sections of the office and introduced the workers on duty there.
