A missile strike hit the digital security center of Sepah Bank in Tehran early on Wednesday, according to information received by Iran International.

The building, located on Haghani Street, was destroyed in the attack while the bank was processing salary payments for military personnel.

The services at Sepah Bank and Melli Bank Iran remained widely disrupted for a second day, with online banking unavailable and only card-based services operating.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Iran’s powerful armed forces will exact vengeance on the enemy for the bombing of an Iranian bank full of employees.
“Iran’s national infrastructure is under attack. This time, a branch of my country’s oldest bank was bombed while full of employees,” Araghchi wrote in a post on his X account on Wednesday.
He said the bank’s employees were “laboring to ensure Iranians have food on the table ahead of our New Year” when the attack took place.
“Our Powerful Armed Forces will exact retribution for this crime,” the foreign minister added.
The United States and Israeli launched an unprovoked war on Iran on February 28, assassinating the former Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top Iranian military commanders in the midst of Tehran-Washington negotiations.
Iran immediately launched retaliatory strikes against Israeli and American targets across the region using volleys of drones and missiles.
