Pakistan-Kyrgyz Republic Agree to Enhance Cooperation in Education Sector

Islamabad; 17 Feb 2021 – Pakistan and Kyrgyz Republic agreed upon improving the status of medical colleges and enhancing cooperation in the field of education. Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Beishenaliev is in Pakistan on two day visit. He had frutful meetings with the Minister of Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood and the Chairman of  Higher Education Commission Pakistan, Dr  Tariq Banuri.

Both sides held delegation level talks at ministry of education Pakistan in which relevant officers and members of Kyrgyz Republic delegation also participated to assist their ministers. Ambassador of Kyrgyz Republic Erik Beishembiev was also present.

The two sides discussed the development of cooperation in the field of secondary and higher education, vocational training, exchange of best practices, joint research and exchanges between universities of the two countries, as well as improving the conditions for training Pakistani students in Kyrgyzstan and ways to withdraw medical universities of the Kyrgyz Republic from the “black list” of the Pakistan Medical Commission.
