Algeria Azerbaijan to Establish Joint Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation

    ISLAMABAD: Foreign Ministers of #Azerbaijan and #Algeria signed an Agreement between the Governments of the Republic Azerbaijan and People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria on Establishment of a Joint Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan is on official visit to Algeria.

    This agreement marks a significant milestone in the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
    This framework creates a structured and institutionalized mechanism to deepen cooperation across key sectors such as trade, investment, science, and technology.

     

    The Joint Commission will serve as a platform to identify new areas of mutual interest, coordinate initiatives, and facilitate the exchange of expertise and best practices.

    He met with counterpart Ahmed Attaf and it proved to be a comprehensive and constructive bilateral meeting, reaffirming the strong ties of friendship between the two countries.

    The sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in a wide range of areas, including political dialogue, energy, trade, investments, education, and culture, and underlined the mutual interest in exploring new avenues for collaboration.

    Particular attention was given to strengthening coordination within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Non-Aligned Movement, based on shared principles and mutual support.

    Both Ministers expressed determination to further deepen the Azerbaijan–Algeria partnership, contributing to peace, development, and prosperity in their respective regions and beyond.

    Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov during his visit to Algeria met with Ibrahim Boughali, President of Algeria’s People’s National Assembly.

    The discussions focused on the strengthening of parliamentary and inter-parliamentary cooperation between Azerbaijan and Algeria.

    Both sides emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences and best practices, as well as promoting joint initiatives in political, economic, and humanitarian fields.
