Algeria Embassy Islamabad Celebrates 64th Anniversary of Independence and Youth Day

    The Embassy of Algeria in Islamabad commemorated the 64th anniversary of Independence and Youth Day on Sunday, July 5, 2026, under the theme “Independence: A Trust for Generations.”

    Members of the Algerian community and embassy staff attended this momentous occasion, which included the playing of the national anthem, the recitation of the Al-Fatiha, and a minute of silence in remembrance and tribute to those who sacrificed their lives so that our country live free, proud, and with dignity.

    Ambassador H.E Brahim Romani, delivered a speech in which he recalled the significance of regaining glorious national independence, which came after immense sacrifices and arduous, continuous struggles by generations of martyrs, both men and women, descendants of a proud and resilient people who triumphed with honor and dignity over a brutal and hateful occupation, so that Algeria might enjoy freedom, dignity, and sovereignty, and regain its glorious independence.

    H.E also praised the tremendous strides that Algeria is making towards progress and advancement in all fields, and the significant and continuous achievements it has made in recent years under the wise leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

    He commended the state’s excellent care and improved services forĀ  national community abroad, calling on its members to participate in the triumphant development process and the numerous initiatives undertaken by the state to overcome challenges and achieve a bright future for our beloved country.

    He also emphasized the importance of benefiting from the expertise of our national community abroad and emulating our heroic ancestors in their sacrifices and raising our country’s standing high among nations.

    On the occasion, some brilliant students from the community who excelled in their studies were honored with certificates of appreciation and symbolic prizes.
    A documentary showcasing Algeria’s major achievements was also screened, accompanied by national songs.

    Traditional Algerian sweets and Deglet Nour dates were served. All of this took place in a joyful, family-like atmosphere, strengthening the bonds between the community members, the Algerian Embassy, and their homeland.
