ISLAMABAD: – All the tires of the PIA flight from Dubai to Multan burst when emergency breaks were applied. The emergency took place soon after the moment of departure due to a technical problem.
According to PIA spokesperson, PIA flight PK 222 was departing for Multan. The plane had reached 150 km on the runway when a technical fault was detected in the engine, on which the pilot stopped the take-off and applied the emergency break. Later the plane was parked at side.
According to aviation sources, 172 passengers of the flight were transferred to the lounge. The staff of engineering department dispatched from Karachi to Dubai to fix the malfunction of the plane.
Aviation sources say that some of the passengers of the flight were taken from Dubai to Lahore on flight PK 204 while some of the passengers will be taken from PIA’s Sharjah to Multan flight.
