Anchors Eleven Defeat London Media Club in Friendly T-20 Cricket in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Anchors Eleven Pakistan won a friendly T-20 cricket with visiting team of London Media Club played in Islamabad on 25 April 2024. Chief Guest Dr Rashid Ilyas distributed the awards among the best players of the match. He appreciated the efforts of media persons of two countries to promote people to people contacts between the two countries through sports/cricket diplomacy.

Anchors Eleven won the match with the score 195 to 138. The match was played on a sunny day with high temperatures but a large number of cricket lovers were present to encourage the players.

The captain of anchors eleven , Syed Asim Raza won the toss and decided to bat first. The anchors eleven gave the target of 195 to the guest team that could score 138 only. Kashif Abbasi of anchors eleven stood tall with the highest score 56, second was Hamid Mir with 46.

Other players from anchors eleven included, Muhammad Malik, Samar Abbas, Talat Hussain, Kashif Majeed, Nasir Hashmi.

It is the third consecutive yearly match between the two teams in Islamabad.
