«Combaxx» 5th Open Asian Taekwondo Championship Islamabad-Kazakhstan First in Women Third in Men

Islamabad, November 5, 2023 – The national Taekwondo team of Kazakhstan participated in the «Combaxx» 5th Open Asian Championship in Islamabad on November 2-5, 2023.

More than 500 athletes from 22 countries took part in the championship.

Kazakh team won 5 gold (Zh.Islamov, N.Koishybekova, M. Sevostyanova, N.Khussainova, D.Cansel), 1 silver (A.Yedilbayeva) and 7 bronze (A.Askarova, Zh.Khairullina, D.Absenova, S.Abubakirov, E.Birimbay, B.Musakhan, N.Yersaiynov) medals.

In the overall standings, the Kazakhstan team took first place in the women’s category and third place in the men’s category. Mrs. Saule Sardarova was recognized as the best coach and Khusainova Nurai was recognized as the best fighter among girls.

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Y.Kistafin held talks with the President of the Taekwondo Federation of Pakistan, W.Ahmed. During talks, an agreement was reached on establishing and developing cooperation with the Taekwondo Federation of Kazakhstan.
