New York : The Consul General for Pakistan in New York, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, met with the office bearers of the United Pakistan Student Association (UPSA) at the Consulate General.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues for collaboration to enhance the facilitation and welfare of Pakistani students studying across various universities in the United States, particularly in the North-Eastern region.
Discussions centered on the formation of a unified platform by bringing together Pakistani Student Associations (PSAs) from different academic institutions across the U.S., with a view to collectively address student-related issues, improve coordination, and promote networking opportunities.
Views were also exchanged on organizing open houses, cultural events, and townhalls, as well as establishing digital platforms to provide timely guidance, career support, and redressal mechanisms for students.
The Consul General appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed the Consulate’s continued support to Pakistani students as an important segment of the diaspora community.
The United Pakistan Student Association (UPSA) is a nationwide network bringing together Pakistani students and alumni across the United States. As the first and largest united body of student and alumni associations from PSAs in the country, UPSA seeks to connect, support, and empower the next generation of Pakistani professionals through academic mentorship, internship facilitation, career referrals, and collaborative programming.
The Consulate General of Pakistan remains committed to engaging proactively with Pakistani students and extending all possible support in addressing their concerns and facilitating their academic and professional pursuits.
