Islamabad: 05 Jan 2022 – Special Judge Central (FIA’s special court) Raja Asif Mehmood on Tuesday rejected bail plea of a woman involved in posting defamatory and derogatory remarks on social media against a US national woman of Pakistani origin.
However, the accused woman identified as Maria Orakzai fled from courtroom.
Investigators of FIA Cyber Crime Wing, Islamabad Zone started conducting raids to arrest the accused woman.
According to details, Special Judge Central Raja Asif Mehmood took up bail plea of Maria Orakzai.
Khurram Mehmood Qureshi Advocate, the counsel for victim Ms Sabin, argued before the court that Maria Orakzai had ruined domestic life of her client by posting derogatory and offensive comments along with her picture on social media. He added FIA investigators also declared her (Maria) guilty during investigation.
Opposing the arguments of prosecution, the defense lawyer said her client is innocent and had sought apology from victim. He added his client is pregnant and therefore she should be awarded bail.
